Shifts : The QA will work a 6 day shift - 3 on, 3 off, working 6am-6pm. Over a month they will have a period of 7 days off in a row, but also will have a week where they work 6 out of 7 days. 6-6 shift pattern, Nights and days Pay Rate : £11.41 ph Job Role: Quality Technician supports product quality, product development or production processes by learning and performing elementary tests, measurements, and tasks for experimentation and/or production. The role will allow the candidate to gain understanding and assist in the development of Quality standards and test procedures to inspect materials, in-process, or final products to ensure Quality standards are met. Laboratory Responsibilities: Receive and follow specific and detailed instructions to perform assigned standard tests and measurements. Inspects and tests materials, packaging supplies, in-process, and final product samples using established procedures to ensure product Quality Perform basic calculations of test data and compare test results to existing standards for deviations Maintain test equipment in proper working order through standardized procedures Operate experimental, prototype, or production test equipment Document and maintain test results and records on physical properties of experimental products and processes or production runs and prepare simple reports as necessary Resolve problems as they occur e.g. reconciliation issues, out of specification readings Report any issues to Production operators/ Team Leaders / Supervisors immediately Ensure the Quality Management System is adhered to at all stages Communicate test results to appropriate staff Respond to routine enquiries Complete extra tests from engineers, group leader and/or supervisor Participate as a team member on problem solving meetings Provide a full and detailed shift handover Safety responsibilities: Work safely in line with behavioural safety principles Compliance with PPE requirements Spot potential hazards and report promptly to your supervisor.
