We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Head Chef to join the team at Queensmead, our specialist, frail elderly and dementia residential care home located in the scenic market town of Christchurch.
40 hours per week – between 8.00am to 6.00pm

This is an incredibly rewarding role where you can come in and take pride in ensuring tasty and enjoyable meals are available residents at a variety of our services.
Key duties for Chefs include:
Preparing and cooking nutritious and varied meals to the standards set out in the Care South catering policy.
Supervising and supporting our kitchen staff.
Planning meals and consulting with residents, management and care staff to ensure that individual dietary needs and preferences are met.
Ensuring all health & safety and other relevant legislation is adhered to at all times.
Checking and ordering supplies when required.
Working to ensure the catering budget is met at all times.

Prior experience in a similar role in a restaurant, care home or other relevant environment.
Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 in Food Production (or equivalent) and prepared to undertake level 3.
Experience of managing a staff team.
Good understanding of health and safety and other current relevant legislation.
Experience of delivering exceptional quality food in high volume.
