Starting in September 2021, you’ll gain hands on experience in a future-thinking, technology-focused energy company whilst working towards a degree.What’ll you be doing? Over the two-year program you’ll split your time between learning on site at the Drax Power Station and at our training providers learning hub. The hub might not be local to you, but that’s okay as we’ll provide the transport to get you there and back, (and if needed a nice place to stay for the week too!) You just need to be able to get to us.Alongside studying you’ll be working with the latest technologies to ward off cyber threats, as well as developing a practical understanding of network infrastructure, software and data to identify vulnerabilities and apply appropriate controls. There’ll be fresh challenges each day. From ethical hacking to digital forensics to cryptography, there’s lots to sink your teeth into.You’ll be joining a large team of experienced Cyber Security professionals. Sounds good? Wondering what you’ll need to apply? Well, you’ll need (or be predicted to achieve by 2021) one of the following1 or more A Levels in a similar subject e.G. IT, Computing A Level 3 Apprenticeship in a similar subject e.G. Infrastructure Technician Level 3, Software Development Technician Level 3International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in a similar subject BTEC Extended Diploma in a similar subject (180 credits)If don’t have one of the above, but instead have 2-3 years’ work experience in a technical role then we’re still keen to receive your application. We’ll also be looking for candidates with good communication skills who can work as part of a team.
