You will be leading audit assignments, leading juniors on fieldwork, testing and completion stages. You will complete Vat returns, corporation tax, and tax computations. Whilst completing senior duties listed above, you will be overseeing the team and managing day to day activities to ensure success of the team. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this role, you must have 3 years minimum, prior experience within an accountancy practice. You must be either ACCA or ACA qualified or qualified by experience; finalist level candidates will also be considered. You must have experience and be competent utilising accounting software's such as Xero, Sage or Quickbooks. You must be competent working on each stage of an audit, whilst also preparing statutory accounts. Experience leading a team, training juniors or reviewing work will also be desired. Your new role Scope of the role: The Tax Projects Manager role will assist the Group in initiating, managing and concluding a number of key global projects relating to tax, treasury and corporate structuring. An independent role reporting to the Group FC in Basingstoke (UK), the Tax Projects Manager will work with key advisors in the UK, France and Spain in order to consult where required and obtain necessary specialist support. Hybrid working In this role, you'll experience a dynamic mix of responsibilities with a roughly 75/25 split between Audit and Accounts work. You'll assist Senior Managers in planning audits and conducting detailed audit testing, review and finalise financial statements, and draft Corporation tax computations. Additionally, you'll submit approved Accounts and Corporation tax returns, prepare and submit Self Assessment tax returns, and delegate tasks to our outsourced team in India while reviewing their completed work. You'll also manage some management account assignments, aiming to provide completed monthly management accounts to Senior Managers for their review and client meetings. Hybrid working role - home, office in Barnet or mix of both. Software used is CCH and Caseware Cloud, so experience of these is a plus but not a necessity. Many of their clients also use Xero and Sage so again any experience in this software would be advantageous.
