OUTSIDE IR35 Contract till 30/09/2022 - Travel to China required on a regular basis Scope of Service: We are seeking an Engineer/ Technical support to join the Markets Certification team within Technical Conformity, you will become an integral part of the Certification team and be instrumental in the practical delivery, vehicle issue resolution and test support of certification projects for the China market. Key Deliverables: Working across all of the upcoming Bentley projects and be required to work with each of the relevant departments and also get the opportunity to work with other VW Group brands. Resolving technical issues on vehicles in China using vehicle diagnostics and supporting dealer technician Investigating and resolving vehicle faults using the diagnostic log, including flashing/updating cars as necessar Will require periods of Business travel to China to support project delivery and vehicle test programmes Supporting the certification test programme in China region with Certification tests for all Company products in support of the CCC Approval Working with China regional team to ensure that all required approvals are obtained in a timely manner Skills / Experience: Ability to solve problems. Experience of Vehicle diagnostics is required Travel to China will be required as part of this role, China language skills not required Experience of dealing with certification / homologation is desirable Experience or understanding of homologation according to China regulations is desirable. The candidate needs to have an eye for detail and a structured approach to work. Ability to communicate at various levels across the company in different forums. Technical Skills: Experience of Hybrid and electric technologies is preferred Experience of either safety or powertrain systems considered, preferably both.
