All training will be provided to ensure the successful candidate reaches the highest level of performance. Key responsibility areas: Tends equipment to coat iron steel products with corrosion-resistant metal Suspend metal objects, like pails, shelving, nuts bolts and structural steel from conveyor hooks or places them in wire baskets Immerses objects in chemical solution to clean surface of scale foreign matter Lowers objects into tanks to protect surfaces and facilitate coating Dips objects into tank of molten metal to coat objects, using hoist or conveyor Removes objects from tanks after specified time Smooths coating, Inspects objects for even and complete coating returns defective objects for reprocessing Manual lifting General production and housekeeping Health & Safety compliance It is essential that the successful candidate will demonstrate: Willingness to learn and upskill Fully flexible to working on a rotating shift pattern of days, afternoons and night shifts as required: Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday 3pm - 11.30 pm, Sunday - Thursday 10.30pm - 7am occasion early Friday finish Applicants with a Forklift licence or Overhead Crane licence would be highly desirable although this not essential Ability to work under pressure and to product deadlines Highly motivated, eager to learn and a team player It is desirable that the successful candidate may have: A minimum of 6 months relevant experience with a production, manufacturing, galvanising or metal finishing role within an industrial environment is desirable Hours of shift The company has a rotation of shifts in operation.
