The successful applicant will have the opportunity to help develop a high-quality service in this busy district general hospital, delivering comprehensive Haemato-Oncology, General Haematology & Laboratory Haematology services. The trust is in the process of operationalising a number of exciting service transformations, such as an Emergency Department Bypass Unit to improve the outcomes and experiences of our patients with sickle cell. The department is also exploring opportunities for the expansion of our treatment capacity for malignant and non-malignant haematology and is in the process of developing a strategy to adopt innovative ways of working. The postholder will have the opportunity to contribute to the clinical leadership of these exciting developments.
