Design and manage CI/CD workflows for infrastructure deployment. Implement observability and monitoring with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and Open Telemetry. Champion security and compliance, embedding policies into IaC and CI/CD processes. Support migrations into Azure and contribute to the platform roadmap. Act as a subject matter expert, mentoring colleagues and liaising with external vendors when required. Key skills for the Azure Platform Engineer: 3+ years' experience working as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. 6+ years in infrastructure engineering or support roles (Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.). Hands-on experience with Terraform and IaC in a DevOps setting. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker. Familiarity with Azure hub/spoke architecture, networking, IDAM, and security best practices. Knowledge of ITIL processes (release, deployment, change management). Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and lead when required.
