We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer working within a small team of multi disciplined engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining control systems for a range of industrial applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, efficiency, and performance. This is a full-time position, based in our Usk offices with occasional travel. Design, program, and commission control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems. Programming Siemens plc Develop and implement automation solutions for manufacturing and process control environments. Troubleshoot and optimize existing control systems to improve efficiency and reliability. Conduct system testing, validation, and performance analysis. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers on project development. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices. Provide technical support, training, and documentation for system users. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Functional safety qualification advantageous. Proven experience in control systems design, programming, and implementation. Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA systems. Strong knowledge of industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, EtherCat, CAN, Profibus, etc). Experience with motion control, robotics is advantageous. Ability to understand electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
