Our public client is looking to recruit a Lead HR Consultant on a 5-6 month initial contract to provide HR advice and operational support to managers and employees within a dedicated business area. Lead Consultants have responsibility for one or more HR specialist areas and report to a functional HR&OD Manager, and/or operate as a professional/ technical specialist working with services to improve organisational performance through the provision of leading-edge HR&OD practices. They build and maintain strong and productive relationships to deliver a range of strategic and operational solutions. The key accountabilities of this role are: To provide managers with consistent, pragmatic and effective advice on the management and resolution of people issues covering a wide range of HR areas, mitigating risk to the organisation whilst optimising resources to deliver highly effective and creative solutions. To work in partnership with the client group at a senior level to establish an excellent understanding of their service and the challenges they face to proactively identify opportunities for operational and strategic intervention capitalising on external best practice; To manage HR&OD casework and projects and provide a high quality, professional and solution-based service to clients. Experience CIPD qualified to post graduate diploma level, or able to evidence equivalent knowledge and understanding of HR & OD disciplines. Ability to use a variety of digital platforms relevant to job role and understanding of how new technologies can support and transform HR&OD services. Significant practical experience of advising customers on complex case work or within a specialist area of HR & OD, applying policy, relevant case law and a balanced approach to risk and resolving issues promptly. Our client is looking to recruit a Responsive Repairs Surveyor on a 3 month initial contract to survey properties. The ideal candidate will need to have experience managing and surveying responsive repairs of a large housing portfolio which includes social housing. You will need to carry out pre and post repairs, exchange and re-let inspections, diagnose, assess and specify works required and then monitor the works carried out by trade teams to ensure they are to business standards. Responsibilities will include: Surveying properties to identify defects and works. Order works using contracted schedule of rates. Oversee Contractor and respond to operational enquiries. Monitor quality of programme of works Audit installation before final project completion. Where required make site inspections to rectify problems on installation. The ideal candidate will be an experience Surveyor / Contractor Manager within the housing sector with experience working on similar projects. This role is due to start ASAP. Hourly Rate: 34.00 per hour on a Umbrella basis

Responsibilities To support the delivery of a wide range of specialised transport, including specialist home to school transport, Youth offending, CFCS, Adult Social Care and Respite short breaks providing solutions for internal and external clients. To monitor contract performance, including site visits and to investigate issues reported by service users or clients. To ensure that National and County Council safeguarding and child protection measures are followed. To be responsible for the procurement and evaluation of best value ad-hoc transport for client departments. To be responsible for the evaluation of Direct Travel Assistance Payments (DTAP) to parents and carers To review and analyse contract performance and practice against agreed specification or service level agreements and to assist in service reviews and wider opportunities for efficiency savings including site visits across the County To identify savings where ad hoc contracts may be converted to longer term contracts generating savings through efficient procurement To be responsible for ensuring all service users have a certified Transport Care Plan where required through liaison with care professionals and schools Assess service development opportunities in conjunction with colleagues, clients, members of the public and other stakeholders Using bespoke software systems to maintain accurate financial and client information and to create reports as required. Our client is currently looking to recruit a Health and Safety Co-ordinator on an initial 3 month contract. Act as specialist Construction Health & Safety Co-ordinator ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety (H&S) legislation including Construction Design & Management Regulations (CDM) for all teams, programmes and projects in Landlord Services. To support the Repairs & Maintenance service in meeting its obligations under CDM particularly the role of Client & PD and monitoring other duty holders to ensure they are performing to their roles in pre-construction and construction phases. Key duties Provide compliance with the legal requirements of H&S legislation for all works & projects including CDM Regulations. Responsible for providing the following services: Provide training & support to other members of staff in relation to H&S to include Asbestos Awareness refresher training & general H&S updates. Be responsible for creating and amending Risk Assessments. Ensure arrangements for Asbestos Surveys are in place. Risk management methodology, calculation and reporting. Respond to H&S incidents, provide guidance/support to Managers, surveyors and other staff including review & updating of process & procedures. Carry out accident/incident investigations including reporting RIDDOR and liaising with Corporate H&S section and HSE, producing reports as required and lessons learned solutions & outcomes. Ensure that asset databases are maintained and up-dated in an accurate and timely manner with accurate information. Maintain an up to date knowledge of changes in construction policy, legislation, case law, innovation and best practice, including H&S requirements and standards etc. Please note that postholders will be required to hold driving licence valid for the U.K. This a fantastic opportunity to join an established organisation on an initial 6 month contract.

Our client is currently recruiting for a Disrepair Surveyor to join their team on an initial 6 month basis. The role will entail carrying out disrepair surveys and writing full reports on the findings to present to stakeholders. The successful candidate will ideally have; Substantial experience of repairs and maintenance service delivery, sustainability / construction and contract administration at a senior level Proven working knowledge of the Housing Disrepair protocol A Strong understanding of landlord/tenant matters, leaseholder consultation requirements and contract dispute and resolution Excellent communication skills - from writing reports to answering any queries We are ideally looking for someone with a construction degree, in either CIOB or RICS.
