Boyd Recruitment are currently recruiting Data Engineers on behalf of our client for work in the Eastcoast of Scotland. The work will consist of installation of Fibre, Voice, and Data cabling across various environments, including Commercial, Government, Education, Healthcare, and Listed Buildings. Locations: Dundee - City Centre St Andrews Edinburgh - City Centre Pay Details: £20.00 per hour (37.5 hours per week) £26.66 per hour Overtime during the week £30.00 per hour Overtime on Saturday Key Responsibilities: Install, terminate, and test Category 6 and Category 6a structured cabling systems (shielded and unshielded) to manufacturer specifications. Test structured cabling systems using Fluke DSX network testers. Install, terminate, and test multimode and single-mode fibre cables, using fusion splicing and Fluke DSX Light Loss Fibre modules. Install and maintain voice cabling systems. Install communications cabinets (wall-mounted, floor-mounted, and flat-pack assemblies). Install various containment systems, including cable tray, basket tray, PVC/metal trunking, PVC conduit, and cable matting. Use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Fluke LinkWare & LinkWare Live software. Requirements: NVQ or SVQ in Structured Cabling / Telecommunications. ECS Grade Card.
