Location: OX7 area (live-out) Hours: 40 hours per week, across 5 days (some weekend work required on a rota) The Burford Recruitment Company is delighted to be assisting a prestigious private household in their search for an experienced and highly professional Housekeeper. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a well-established household team and play a key role in ensuring it remains a beautifully maintained, organised, and comfortable environment for the family and their guests! The Role As Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the full care and presentation of the home, ensuring the highest standards are consistently met. Duties will include: Wardrobe organisation and management for the principals. Welcoming guests and serving refreshments Daily housekeeping and upkeep of furnishings. Regular deep cleaning during periods when the principals are away. Care and cleaning of valuable items and antiques (training provided where required). Support with service at events and dinner parties Occasional pet care, including feeding, grooming, and changing bedding. Running errands as required. Monitoring household equipment and reporting maintenance needs. About You We are seeking a candidate with: Proven experience in a similar private household or high-standard housekeeping role. Knowledge of cleaning methods, sanitation products, and handling of delicate or valuable items. High levels of energy, physical stamina, and flexibility. A keen eye for detail and pride in delivering work to the very highest standard. Excellent organisational and time management skills. A discreet, reliable, and adaptable approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A genuine love of dogs and willingness to assist in their care.
