My client, a prestigious government organisation, are undertaking a six-month project to strengthen how they support colleagues requiring workplace adjustments . Their goal is to create a clear, fair, and inclusive system that ensures disabled colleagues receive the right support quickly and effectively. They are looking for an experienced Health & Wellbeing Practitioner with a strong background in workplace adjustments and inclusion . You will play a key role in reviewing existing processes, updating policies, and engaging stakeholders to design an approach that supports both employees and managers while ensuring compliance with equality legislation. Contract Length: 5 Months Location: Mostly remote with occasional travel to Manchester IR35: In scope of IR35 Key Responsibilities Conduct a diagnostic review of current workplace adjustment processes , identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement. Produce a practical report with clear recommendations to: Improve efficiency and accessibility for colleagues requiring adjustments. Support managers in fulfilling their responsibilities. Ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010. Draft and present an updated Workplace Adjustments Policy . Design a clear process flow for handling adjustments. Engage stakeholders through interviews and workshops , incorporating feedback into recommendations and policy updates. Explore options for managing workplace adjustment costs. Develop a phased implementation plan . Essential Criteria Demonstrable experience as a Health & Wellbeing Practitioner or similar role, with strong expertise in workplace adjustments and disability inclusion. Knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and employer obligations regarding reasonable adjustments. Experience drafting or updating policies and processes to improve organisational practice. Strong stakeholder engagement skills , with experience facilitating workshops or interviews. Ability to analyse issues and produce actionable, evidence-based recommendations . Excellent organisational and communication skills , with attention to detail. Desirable Criteria Previous experience in the NHS or a large public-sector organisation . Familiarity with case management systems or models for centralised support services. Understanding of budget considerations for reasonable adjustments. Experience in delivering change projects within health, wellbeing, or inclusion settings.
