SAP ABAP Consultant (7+ Years Experience) Hybrid (2-3 Days in office) 6 month Contract Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with over 7 years of hands-on development experience and a strong understanding of the end-to-end SAP landscape . This is a key role focused not only on technical development but also on managing incoming requirements , assessing their validity, and helping the business avoid unnecessary customisations. Key Responsibilities: Assess and evaluate incoming requests and change requirements (CRs) from business teams. Identify and qualify which requests are necessary and which are avoidable , reducing ad hoc customisations. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all changes are tracked, justified, and aligned with system strategy. Develop and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, and enhancements. Work closely with functional teams to understand business processes and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Contribute to decision-making processes related to SAP enhancements and system design. Required Skills & Experience: 7+ years of SAP ABAP development experience. Strong understanding of the end-to-end SAP landscape (eg, integration across modules). Proven experience in requirement management and change request evaluation . Excellent decision-making and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to work cross-functionally with both technical and business stakeholders. Ability to challenge and refine incoming demands to maintain system integrity and reduce technical debt.
