CAD Production Quality The role is a hybrid role of Production Engineering, Quality, CAD drawing modifications, Sample approval, line support, Procedure writing and Validation testing. I m looking for a person how has the experience and wants to work at the lower non-management level. This role does not have anyone working for them, they will have to do this work themselves (obviously we will give direction support). In the recent past we have employed graduate engineers in this role, the downside is they only stay a few years and move on; also, they don t have the experience to root cause the production issues. Production Engineering CAD drawing (parts & assemblies) updates, we use Solid Edge and Solid Works, depending on the machine model range being updated. Mainly Solid Edge. Change requests (CR), creating the CR paperwork, understand all the assembly structure to which drawings then need updating. This can also relate to procedure. Finding replacement parts for obsolete items. Production Parts Quality Reviewing production reject parts for why they have failed, this includes checking the part against the drawing, reviewing the line build to see if it s an internal line issue, talking with suppliers to understand if there is an issue with their manufacturing line. Procedures Updating or creating new procedures for the production line Line Support Investigating production issues on the shop floor and root causing the failure. Then update drawings, procedures, etc to fix the issue. Sample Approval Hand measuring (vernier calliper) first article samples and then creating the report paperwork. Customer complaints Review issue and root cause what has caused the issue, then look at any updates to drawing / procedure required Write the compliant report Validations Test parts and products Creating test protocols and reports IQ OQ PQ Concessions Fill in the concession document (deviation to standard production or to a drawing) for the requirements of that particular concession.
