About Us Phoenix Taxis is one of the UK's most forward-thinking and sustainable transport providers. Based in Blyth, Northumberland, we operate one of the largest low-emission and electric taxi fleets in the region and are committed to keeping our vehicles safe, efficient, and on the road. We're looking for a skilled and qualified Motor Vehicle Technician to join our in-house maintenance team, helping service and maintain a growing fleet of electric, hybrid, and traditional vehicles. Required Qualifications & Skills Level 3 Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) - essential Level 3 qualification in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement (or similar high-voltage qualification) - desirable Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Good working knowledge of electric and hybrid drivetrains is a plus Full UK driving licence Reliable, proactive, and committed to quality workmanship What We Offer Competitive salary (based on skills and experience) Stable, full-time position within a well-established business Ongoing training and development, including EV upskilling Well-equipped in-house workshop Opportunity to work on one of the region's most sustainable Private Hire fleets Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour Benefits: Company pension Employee discount On-site parking Sick pay Ability to commute/relocate: Blyth NE24 5BW: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: Mechanic: 3 years (required) Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required) Work Location: In person Reference ID: Mechanic
