Due to continued success, they are seeking a Junior Chemist to join their busy team. The role will involve mixing batches of a variety of formulations using in-house organic ingredients, carrying out testing and other pre-formulation studies and selection of ingredients and raw materials. After receiving training, you may also be involved with the laboratory scale-up and process development of new products. Duties : Develop and test cosmetic formulations. You will need your own transport for this. Complete administrative duties accurately and in accordance with standard operating procedures, agency guidelines and within established timescales. Manage customer expectations, in line with policies, targets and legislation. Be prepared to undertake difficult conversations with customers, stakeholders and/or delivery partners. Liaise closely with various regulatory bodies such as HMRC, UK Border Agency, Port Health, Animal Health authorities & Border Control Point operations management. During outbreaks of notifiable disease, participate as directed to contribute to the control and the eradication of disease including taking part in rosters for detached duty to other parts of Great Britain. You will be expected to occasionally stay away from home on overnight stays to attend meetings and training. There will be occasional travel to other APHA locations. Out of hours and detached duty work may be required in the event of an outbreak or incident. When on pool duty the Civilian Swimming Pool Attendant, in their capacity of duty lifeguard, is responsible for supervising the pool, identifying, preventing and reporting any potential dangers and dealing with any incidents that occur. 2. They must fully be conversant with and sign annually the BRNC Swimming Pool Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and Normal Operating Procedures (NOP s). 3. Supervision of the Swimming Pool and other areas within the facility. When the pool facility is open and should the facility uplift to two civilian pool attendants, they must always remain in the building ensuring that the whereabouts of the other lifeguard is known. 4. To sign out and return the building keys from building, ensuring that a thorough lock up routine is conducted at the end of each day. 5. Cleaning duties as directed by the Swimming Pool Manager. 6. To ensure the safety and good conduct of Swimming Pool Users. 7. To patrol the poolside, changing and ancillary areas as directed by the Swimming Pool Manager. 8. To report immediately to the Swimming Pool Manager any defects, safety hazards or deficiencies likely to render any equipment/area unsafe. 9.
