The Job Develop and optimize CNC programs using Autodesk Powermill for precision machining. Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to create efficient toolpaths. Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials. Produce accompanying detailed operator setup sheets. Conduct test runs and adjust programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with machinists to refine machining processes. Troubleshoot machine errors and optimize performance. Use Powershape to create jig/fixtures and other holding to aid programming. Apply strict revision control of all types of data throughout. Work in accordance within the constraints of a ISO 9001 and AS9100 accredited manufacturing environment. About you Proficiency in Autodesk Powermill and Powershape. Fusion 360 may be beneficial. Strong understanding of CNC machining principles. Up to date with multi-axis machining techniques, tooling and tool path strategies on 3-axis & 5-axis CNC machines. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications. Problem-solving skills for optimizing machining efficiency. Understanding of material properties, machining and setup techniques in sympathy of collision avoidance. Previous exposure to working in adherence to ISO9001 & AS9100 requirements. Capability to thrive in a Low volume/High mix production department. Ability to achieve UK security clearance is essential. The Job Install, assemble, and fit vehicle engines and related components. Diagnose engine faults using manual inspection and diagnostic equipment. The Job Direct daily management of the manufacturing departments within the Fabric s Division and the employees therein. Review fabric operator requirements through agreed planning to ensure best utilisation of machinery to achieve stock deadlines and specific targets. Drive performance on KPIs, namely: Improving quality Reducing waste Efficiencies Productivity Minimising out of stocks Review processing performance to schedule. Review and develop when agreed the manufacturing capability and performance in line with the company s changing requirements. Ensure correct operator training and machine running procedures are met and are reviewed on a scheduled basis, including operator assessments. Monitor fabric processing and ensure consistent and repeatable operating specifications are met and variances are highlighted. Monitor production performance against targeted waste. Review and in agreement manage the departments training and health and safety manuals. Work closely with the departments QC team to ensure agreed finished quality standards are met and identify areas of improvement. Ensure all planned maintenance is carried out in line with agreed schedules. Ensure all production data is accurate and within the running specifications for the fabric qualities produced. Assess the machinery with the maintenance department to ensure correct operation. About you Proven track recorded managing a technical and quality focused manufacturing fabric plant and will be able to show detailed knowledge in this area. Experience of implementing lean management and managing change. Previous experience in a Supervisory/Managerial role.
