HGV Class 2 Driver East Grinstead£33K-£35K DOENo weekends! Lloyd Recruitment Services is working with a family run organisation based in East Grinstead to find a reliable and customer-focused HGV Class 2 Driver to join their expanding logistics team.You'll play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient multi-drop deliveries to a variety of customers. If you take pride in delivering great service and enjoy being out on the road - this could be the ideal role for you.Full training will be provided on crane and Moffett as well to ensure coverage for staff absences when needed. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate and maintain a Class 2 HGV vehicle in line with all road traffic laws and EU driving regulations Carry out an average of 4-7 drops per day across the middle of the country, including London - drop numbers planned sensibly to match distance travelled Deliver goods safely and efficiently, often performing kerbside drops and handballing with the customer when needed Be the face of the company - build strong relationships with customers, providing friendly, professional service on every delivery Load your vehicle for the next day's route; drivers can take vehicle keys home to enable early starts to beat traffic Complete routine vehicle checks, keep your vehicle clean and roadworthy, and report any defects promptly Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and records Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams for smooth operations Requirements: Valid Class 2 HGV Licence Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Previous HGV multi-drop experience preferred No more than 6 points on your driving licence Strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations Good communication and customer service skills - friendly, professional, and reliable Physically fit and able to perform manual handling/handballing safely A flexible, positive attitude towards working hours and daily tasks Willingness to develop further skills - training available for crane or Moffett operation for those interested in progression Benefits: Salary £33K - £35K DOE Flexible start / finish times (40-hour week) No weekends! 30 days annual leave Additional holiday with length of service Employer contribution pension scheme Attendance rewards Staff discount and regular social activities Corporate clothing and safety footwear provided Free onsite parking Family-friendly employment policies Refer a friend and you will receive a retail voucher of your choice up to the value of £500.
