Transport Operations Trainer Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 per annum Our client, a leading name in logistics, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Operations Trainer. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for conducting commercial driver assessments, identifying training requirements, and delivering "on-road" and classroom-based training. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with key metrics such as tachograph infringements, road traffic collisions, and motoring convictions. You will also be responsible for staying up to date on all relevant legislation for drivers and vehicles. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct driving assessments on both potential new and existing drivers. - Identify and deliver required training based on assessment outcomes. - Deliver vehicle familiarization training and conduct pre-departure vehicle spot checks. - Maintain an accurate training matrix of all completed and planned safety and technical training. - Assist in accident investigations and camera footage retrieval. - Deliver "Toolbox" talks to ensure drivers are kept up to date with current legislation. - Support the operation as required during peak periods when less training is scheduled. - Assist with reviewing commercial driver performance through data analysis and hands-on engagement. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Full C+E (Class 1) HGV license with a minimum of five years of "on the road" experience and no points or endorsements. - An industry-recognized Driver Assessor certificate or accreditation. - Up-to-date HGV Driver CPC and a valid Digicard. - Strong knowledge of drivers' hours and transport regulations. - Excellent communication skills and a desire to teach others. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and PowerPoint.
