A technically strong and experienced Global Payroll Manager is sought to lead payroll operations for an international organisation with employees across multiple jurisdictions. This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a small international payroll team and working closely with finance, HR, and external providers to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll delivery worldwide. Key Responsibilities Oversee accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing across all global locations Manage payroll-related benefits, including pensions, healthcare, and statutory payments Serve as the primary contact for payroll queries across the business Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and statutory requirements in each jurisdiction Maintain robust internal controls, records, and audit readiness Lead payroll-related projects, including new system implementations and process improvements Review payroll journals, reconcile related accounts, and support budgeting and forecasting processes Partner with third-party payroll providers and Employer of Record partners to ensure service quality Key Requirements Proven experience in a payroll management role within a multi-country, multi-currency environment Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, pensions, and statutory requirements Skilled in payroll compliance and audit preparation Comfortable managing a small team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, linking, data analysis) and familiarity with payroll software Payroll qualifications (e.g., CIPP) highly desirable Experience in the not-for-profit or professional services sector is an advantage Why Join Take ownership of a truly global payroll function Work in a collaborative, values-led organisation with international reach Hybrid working, competitive salary, and excellent benefits package
