Mechanical QA Manager Surrey 2 year Contract 1st Step Solutions are looking for an experienced Mechanical QA Manager in the Surrey area on behalf of a leading Tier 1 M&E Contractor. Role: The Mechanical QA Manager will oversee the quality assurance processes for mechanical systems and installations, ensuring they meet project specifications, regulatory standards, and best practices. This involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, managing documentation, and collaborating with project teams and clients. Your responsibilities will include: Oversee the mechanical quality assurance process across all phases of a project, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and standards. Create and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, QA checklists, and other quality-related documents. Perform regular on-site inspections and quality audits to verify adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and procedures. Ensure all quality-related activities are tracked, recorded, and documented according to client and contract requirements. Oversee mechanical system testing procedures (e.g., pressure tests, functional tests) and support the commissioning process. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues and ensure smooth project execution. Support the collation and review of handover documentation for client acceptance, ensuring all mechanical systems are properly documented and ready for use. You must have previous experience working with a Tier 1 M&E Contractor on large Shell & Core CAT A commercial projects and come from a Pipefitting background, with experience overseeing plantroom packages. M&E QA Manager City of London Contract 1st Step Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced M&E QA Manager in London. The ideal candidate must have previous commercial experience with a Tier 1 M&E Contractor. In this role you will manage the safety, technical standard and quality of works undertaken within the business unit/site, including design and drawing reviews, supports and fixings, and adherence to the quality control management system.
