The Role: Be responsible for the safe delivery of the service in line with legislative requirements and company policy and procedures. To be inspection-ready to ensure that Extra Care delivery at both sites meets the required standard for CQC. To liaise with visiting professionals and at all times keep the interests of the residents as a priority. To ensure spot checks on practice and documentation is completed in accordance with the audit plan and policy, or as requested, reporting any concerns to the Service Manager. Promote the rights of each customer and keep their wishes at the centre of their care and support to ensure a person-centred approach is used at all times. Provide the customer, and where appropriate their representatives, with information about the service so that they are clear about what to expect and how they can raise concerns about any aspect of the service they are receiving. To effectively manage Scheme Managers across both Extra Care locations and act as their main point of contact. Support the Service Manager with the effective recruitment, induction and training of new staff members. To maintain regular communication with the Service Manager in respect of the effective running of the service. To positively promote the customers' right of choice and independence whilst ensuring that they are treated with the utmost respect, privacy and dignity at all times. To understand the arrangements for ensuring that residents are safeguarded against the risk of abuse. Have the ability to, in accordance with company and local policies: identify the potential for abuse; take appropriate preventative measures; respond to allegations of abuse. To attend supervision, annual appraisals and team meetings. Promote and ensure the good reputation of the company and ensure personal behaviour endorses this.
