Extra Care Registered Manager Eastleigh, Hampshire 37,500 per annum TRC Healthcare has teamed up with a well-established group in the Eastleigh area to assist them in their search for a Registered Manager to oversee a small extra care scheme for older people. The group offer a service that allows people with a wide variety of needs to live comfortably and independently within their own home! The role would be perfect for an experienced Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager with a care background who has the desire to continue forward on their career path. The Role: Be responsible for the safe delivery of the service in line with legislative requirements and company policy and procedures. To be inspection-ready to ensure that Extra Care delivery at both sites meets the required standard for CQC. To liaise with visiting professionals and at all times keep the interests of the residents as a priority. To ensure spot checks on practice and documentation is completed in accordance with the audit plan and policy, or as requested, reporting any concerns to the Service Manager. Promote the rights of each customer and keep their wishes at the centre of their care and support to ensure a person-centred approach is used at all times. Provide the customer, and where appropriate their representatives, with information about the service so that they are clear about what to expect and how they can raise concerns about any aspect of the service they are receiving. To effectively manage Scheme Managers across both Extra Care locations and act as their main point of contact. Support the Service Manager with the effective recruitment, induction and training of new staff members. To maintain regular communication with the Service Manager in respect of the effective running of the service. To positively promote the customers' right of choice and independence whilst ensuring that they are treated with the utmost respect, privacy and dignity at all times. To understand the arrangements for ensuring that residents are safeguarded against the risk of abuse. Have the ability to, in accordance with company and local policies: identify the potential for abuse; take appropriate preventative measures; respond to allegations of abuse. To attend supervision, annual appraisals and team meetings. Promote and ensure the good reputation of the company and ensure personal behaviour endorses this. Transport aggregates and materials to various locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's roadworthiness. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and report any issues or discrepancies. Requirements: Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C). Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Full understanding of WTD legislation. Minimum of 2 years proven Tipper experience.
