Job Title: Site Manager School Construction Project Location: Stanley, Newcastle Contract Type: Freelance Start Date: ASAP About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction and delivery of a new school project in Stanley, Newcastle . Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all on-site activities Supervise subcontractors, trades, and site staff to ensure high standards of work Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times Monitor progress, maintain quality control, and keep the project on schedule and within budget Act as the key point of contact for clients, architects, and project managers Provide regular progress reports and resolve on-site challenges effectively Manage materials, logistics, and site records Requirements: Enhanced DBS Proven track record as a Site Manager on medium-to-large construction projects (experience in education/public buildings an advantage) Excellent knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, and safety standards Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills CSCS card and relevant health & safety certifications (SMSTS, First Aid) Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and stakeholders effectively

If you are a Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering projects as a main contractor, then I d like to hear from you. Ideally, you will have experience working on projects in Education, Leisure, or high rise multiroom projects. Working for a national main contractor or strong tier 2 is an advantage but not essential. Our client values good, hard working, people who are willing to learn and progress. Their office is based in Teesside and the successful candidate will be required to travel to sites across the North East. Responsibilities: Review contracts and provide client advice. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget. Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements. Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled. Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures when necessary. Provide accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders. Oversee the negotiation and administration of contracts with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure that contracts are adhered to and that work is completed within the specified scope and budget. Resolve any disputes or issues that may arise during the construction process. Maintain open and effective communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory authorities, and internal teams. Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues promptly. Requirements: Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team. Excellent organizational capabilities, with keen attention to detail. Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality projects within deadlines. Possession of SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS card qualifications. Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities. Degree or technical qualification equivalent (Desirable). Valid driving license. The Package Competitive salary depending on experience. Freelance Design Manager High-Rise Location: Stoke Newington Contract: Freelance, minimum 6 months We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team on a high-profile high-rise development in Central London . This freelance position offers the opportunity to work on a landmark scheme, collaborating with a leading project team and overseeing design delivery through critical phases of the project. Key Responsibilities: Lead the coordination of design information between consultants, subcontractors, and the project team. Manage the design programme to align with project milestones and construction activities. Ensure design deliverables meet statutory, regulatory, and client requirements. Proactively resolve technical queries and drive solutions in a fast-paced environment. Facilitate design workshops and liaise closely with architects, engineers, and specialist consultants. Report progress and key risks to the Project Director. Requirements: Proven experience as a Design Manager (minimum 5 years), ideally on large-scale high-rise or complex commercial/residential schemes in London. Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and high-rise construction methodologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach. Degree or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (preferred).
