Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking for a skilled CNC Miller to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. ABOUT THE COMPANY: The company specialises in delivering both precision machining and sub-contract machining solutions, defence project work and the design and manufacture of superior quality work-holding solutions. PAY: 18 - 19 per hour (Depending on experience) WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday (07:15 AM until 16:15 PM) and Friday (07:15 AM until 12:15 PM) - Flexible for the right person. OVERTIME: Overtime is available consistently and is paid at time-and-a-half. RESPONSIBILITIES: Working on 2x Doosan VMC (2M bed) CNC milling machines. Programming using Fanuc controls. Producing parts and components for the Defence, Aerospace, and Nuclear industries. Meeting work deadlines and following 5S standards. REQUIREMENTS: Previous CNC milling experience is required. CNC Miller - Programmer/Setter/Operator We are looking for a reliable, skilled CNC Miller to join our client's small team of precision machinists at a well-established reputable precision engineering company based in Rugby. This position would suit someone who is passionate about CNC machining with the possibility of progressing further for the right person when the current owners retire. The company is managed and owned by fully skilled apprentice trained machinists, they supply high quality CNC machined components to the following industries: Motor Sport F1 / GT & Rally Components. Medical Equipment & Instrumentation. Data Acquisition Equipment. Defence Engineering. Automation & Process Control Equipment. Automotive Manufacturing. Robotics. Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (7.30am - 4.00pm) and Friday (7.30am - 3.00pm) - Full time, permanent (39 hours per week + occasional overtime). Pay/Salary: 17.50 - 18.50 per hour (Dpending on experience & abilities) The Role: Program, set, and operate 3-axis and 4-axis CNC milling machines Working on Fanuc & Siemens controls Read and interpret engineering drawings to BS / ISO standards Complete 1st off, prove out and inspection Meet production deadlines Quality Inspection of parts using micrometres, verniers and gauges etc. Working independently and as part of a team. Carry out any other duties as required and deemed appropriate. The Candidate: Skilled in programming, setting, and operating CNC Vertical Milling Machines and tooling using precision measurement equipment. Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings Knowledge of material grades, outwork processes and geometric tolerancing. Mechanical aptitude and good math skills A keen eye for detail and good communication abilities. Ability to plan and work from own initiative. Attention to detail and reliability. Have a great work ethic, a flexible approach and good attitude. Punctual and reliable. Able to work to tight deadlines with a high level of quality standards achieved Willing to work occasional overtime, sometimes at short notice. Motivated and an excellent team player. Our client are now actively looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (07:30 until 16:30) and Friday (07:30 until 12:30) Key Responsibilities: Program, set up, and operate a range of horizontal and vertical CNC milling machinery (Doosan/Haas/Matsuura) to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Programming at the machine using Fanuc controls. Programming offline using Espirit CAD/CAM software. Monitor machine operations to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Requirements: Previous experience programming, setting up and operating CNC milling machinery is required. Previous experience programming using Fanuc, or a similar control is required. Previous experience using any kind of CAD/CAM software to program offline is required. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
