Stores Person Location: Huddersfield Duration: Permanent Working Hours: Mon - Thurs 8am - 5m and Fri 8am - 3pm Salary: 27,300p/a Stafflex are recruiting a Stores Person on behalf of our client, an electronic design and manufacturer who produce state-of-the -art control systems. Due to growth, they are now seeking a highly organised and motivated individual who can ensure the stock operations run smoothly. General Duties: Ensure all materials are in the right place at the right time. Database management: Ensure stock accuracy by maintaining the database system. Goods reconciliation: Verify incoming goods against delivery notes and operating system. Order fulfilment: Pick, pack and ship goods according to the dispatch schedule. Courier co-ordination: Organise collections with couriers. Inventory management: Store goods in the correct locations and pick kits for production. Essential competencies include: Attention to detail. Willing to learn and develop. Flexibility - ability to handle various tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment . Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable using IT systems to manage stock operations - Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel. Good level of physical fitness as the role will require you to lift and move materials as and when needed - no heavier than 25kg. Previous stock management experience advantageous but not essential. This will be working on a casual long term basis and shifts / days will vary so the successful candidate must be flexible with working weekends and evenings. The roles include a variety of duties such as: Making breakfast sandwiches Serving main meals Working on the bar - will involve handling alcohol Operating the till (basic till operations) Greeting customers / provided help and support General tidy up of station Please note Public Transport does not operate in this area for the needed start times and some finish times for the midweek shifts so the successful candidate must drive or be willing to get taxi's to and from work if you do not live local to HD8.
