The main function of this role is to provide enhanced support to the Fee Earners to enable them to operate at optimum efficiency. Duties will include but are not limited to: Word processing/typing and collating correspondence and other documents from audio/digital dictation, amending and formatting documents quickly and accurately. Day to day typing of letters, memoranda, monthly reports, bill, file notes etc. To be a point of contact for clients in the absence of the Fee Earner and to answer incoming calls (including those to other staff in the office who are away from their desk) in a professional and friendly manner taking messages and passing on to appropriate person(s). Creating and amending legal documentation. Maintaining diary systems where appropriate along with arranging and booking of meetings. Maintaining effective filing systems including scheduling of files for archiving and retrieval of files from storage. Assist with the payment and processing of invoices. Assisting with monthly billing. Ensuring compliance with quality standards and the firms policies in general. Working as part of a team to ensure that effective secretarial cover is maintained.
