HM Prison Standford Hill, Isle of Sheppey Overview of the Kent positions: As a supplier to the HM Prison Service for the provision of support escorts, Hays is seeking to recruit Prison/Project Escorts similar to the Operational Support Grades (OSGs) role for several Prisons in Kent, including Rochester, Maidstone & Sheppey. Start in August/September. We must complete a prison clearance prior to starting. The project is scheduled to run for 1 year to 18 months. The rate would be £10.95 Per hour. The roles are based on 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm for Prison/Project Escort. Purpose of the Prison Escort/OSG role: As part of the security team you will be responsible for assisting in the safety and security of the establishment where your duties will include escorting visitors, building contractors, gate duties within the prison and outside areas. You will ensure the safety and security of the visitors, staff and prisoners within a Prison establishment, while persons from outside of the prison service are on site. Successful applicants will have a background in customer services or security, and will be assessed based on the following competencies: Acting with integrity, respecting others, Building relationships and team working, communicating effectively, developing self and others. Full training is provided by the establishment/ department. Training time will be paid at the standard hourly rate. Security Clearance required: Immediate start if you are already Prison Cleared.
