Role and Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met To lead and develop an efficient manufacturing operation in line with the site plan and KPIs To ensure all operations in the factory are conducted to comply with current health & safety legislation by maintaining a system of internal auditing and reviews taking action to correct deficiencies Ensure production is achieved to meet targets established within budget To maintain the departmental organisation structures to ensure they can meet the requirements of the business ensuring suitably qualified staff are employed in all operational departments To contribute to the business objectives, identifying key developments during the next twelve months and setting targets and action plans to achieve these To regularly review the performance of staff performance appraisals against agreed objectives, identifying any training and development needs Review production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met Skills and Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years' experience within an engineering / manufacturing discipline Demonstrable experience of leading a manufacturing function with a proven track record in similar role Significant manufacturing experience in an operational management role at a senior level Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements Proven project management and build quality experience Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines Resilient, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure As a Company we have a strong manufacturing capability and History, with over 160 years Manufacturing from the Oldham Site.
