About this opportunity : As a Data Engineer you will undertake and participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle. This will include requirements analysis, solution design, data interrogation and support of the development and test phases with a particular focus on the technical aspects such as Data mapping, creating system interface documentation and understanding database structures/schemas You will play a key role in one of our significant delivery initiatives where Lloyds Banking Group has partnered with an exciting Fintech group (Satago) to license its award-winning platform to reinvent invoice Finance. You'll work in partnership with our Enterprise Architect, Solutions Architect and Data Analyst, in addition to business, technical and operational teams, to integrate this new platform into the Bank and migrate our customers seamlessly to it. You'll lead the technical analytical activities to ensure end-to-end requirements are understood and documented, data is mapped and interfaces / systems are effectively designed to meet the needs of our clients and the future of the Bank. Engage with the Platform/Product team to ensure solutions remain aligned with the company goals and business requirements. Identifying and documenting potential solutions considering all available information and constraints. Documenting and maintaining system mapping. Input into creation and maintenance of a data dictionary. Developing a deep understanding of the platforms and their operation. Supporting Engineering resource with issue resolution. Ability to create and analyse complex data sets. Input into test strategy and support creation of test data and scripts. Adhering to relevant methodologies and standards to meet the needs of a fast-paced changing business. Essential skills and experience: Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and experience in end-to-end delivery of software products. Strong experience in System analysis & proficient across the data lifecycle Highly proficient in SQL Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure or AWS. Experience in delivering change involving 3rd parties, collaborating and working together to achieve a shared goal. Experience of sophisticated financial services system integrations involving risk, finance and payments data would be helpful. Self-motivation and a track record of working to a high personal and professional standard. Experience of working in an Agile platform environment. Strong communication skills.
