EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant- Salford Tradewind Manchester are recruiting! Are you an experienced Early Years SEND Teaching Support Assistant looking for your next role? Tradewind Manchester are supporting a two-form entry Salford-based primary school in recruiting a EYFS SEND Learning Support Assistant. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, then following an initial period working on a temporary basis (typically 16 weeks) this role could become permanent and you may be offered a school contract. The school are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a Reception class and work with a pupil with Special Educational Needs who requires 1:1 support. The child has ASD challenges. To be considered for this position you must have a proven track record of supporting pupils who require special needs developmental support; have strong interpersonal skills; be able to engage pupils and differentiate work according to academic levels and a clear understanding of SEND-based learning. To join us and be successful in this SEND Learning Support Assistant role, you will need to: Have experience in working with special needs developmental support, in particular ASD Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained Have the legal right to work in the UK This role will include: -Supporting a pupil with special educational needs, usually on a 1:1 basis -Assisting the class teacher as a general TA -Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care -Supporting the school team to provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for students to learn About the school: This Salford based school has an inclusive & caring nature and behaviour throughout the school is very good. There is very little bullying and pupils feel safe - safeguarding and support is a high priority. Teaching Assistants work exceptionally well with Teaching staff, particularly with pupils with SEND requirements. The SEN & EAL provisions are very strong, with pupils being cared for on an individual basis.
