We are now seeking to further expand our Winery Team. The Maintenance Assistant will support the planned preventative maintenance program for Nyetimber's winery equipment and production lines as well as take responsibility for ad-hoc repairs of that same equipment. Key Responsibilities Maintenance of Winery Production Lines and Equipment To support the Maintenance Engineer in the planned preventative maintenance schedule and corresponding service records for all winery equipment. Carry out the required maintenance or where necessary contact and arrange the relevant technicians via suppliers ensuring all work is completed. Support the ad-hoc repairs and maintenance of winery equipment at both the Crawley winery and pressing centres. Accurately update relevant service records for all winery equipment. Maintain flexibility to respond to call outs to the winery and pressing centres during harvest to ensure smooth operation. To use initiative to stay current with training and knowledge of the winery equipment. Must demonstrate care and attention for all equipment provided, with adequate hygiene levels maintained for all equipment in contact with wine. Ensure own work complies with H&S Regulations, in-house procedures and risk assessments. Ensure processing lines are kept clean and organized in accordance with the reputation and expectations of an internationally recognized wine producer. To ensure the winery workshop area and tools are kept clean and organized with a defined inventory. Building/Facilities To report in a timely way to the Facilities Department (via 'MaintainX') when winery building maintenance is required General Extras hours and complete flexibility over working days is required at crucial times of the year, especially Harvest. To work in collaboration with all members of the winery team to ensure smooth operation of the winery and a positive work environment. To act as a positive ambassador of Nyetimber when meeting external parties To work at any of the Nyetimber production facilities as required. Undertake any prescribed training as required. Undertake such other duties commensurate with the responsibilities of the role and any other reasonable management request. Upon successfully joining Nyetimber, you will initially join on day shifts while undergoing training, once this has been completed (we estimate within 3 months) we will move to our afternoon shift to start gaining the benefit of extended production hours, once this has been successfully implemented you will start the evening shift permanently.
