Duties will include supporting end users with the use of IT equipment, handling any troubleshooting issues which could relate to hardware, software, networking or bespoke technologies specific to the education sector. This will mean liaising with pupils, staff and senior leadership on a daily basis to provide the highest level of service from an IT perspective and ensure that teaching and learning is facilitated by the use of technology in the classroom. In addition, as a trust, they have several ongoing projects across schools, and it is therefore important that you are supporting the delivery of these projects, working closely with colleagues and the central IT team. These projects can range from the introduction of a new MIS system, to mass replacement of hardware, installation of new software and also working with end users around the use of new IT equipment. This is a permanent position where you will receive significant ongoing training and be fully supported by a central team. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess significant IT experience, ideally having worked in a hands-on IT support role in the education sector where a high level of support for both hardware and software is required. Experience working in a cloud environment would also be beneficial.
