Job Title: Welder (MIG) Fabricator Salary: 14.20 - 15.20 Location: Newmarket Position: Temporary/Permanent Full Time On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Welder proficient in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and a commitment to producing high-quality welds. Responsibilities: Perform MIG welding operations on various metal components and structures. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications to determine the appropriate welding techniques and parameters. Set up welding equipment and select the correct welding tools and materials for each job. Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and bevelling as necessary to ensure proper weld penetration and adhesion. Monitor welding processes and adjust to ensure weld quality and integrity. Inspect welded joints for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments. Always adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget. Requirements: Proven experience as a Welder with a focus on MIG welding techniques. Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and welding principles. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Ability to set up and operate MIG welding equipment effectively. Familiarity with various metals and alloys commonly used in welding applications. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid welding certification(s) preferred.
