In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for both proactive and reactive maintenance on a variety of gas detection systems at client sites. This includes, but is not limited to, routine calibration, troubleshooting, repairs, and system commissioning. You will also train and shadowing other field service engineers and forming method statements for servicing and maintaining various manufacturers systems in accordance with their manuals. Responsibilities: Conduct proactive and reactive maintenance on a variety of manufacturers' fixed gas detection systems at client sites. Perform routine calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning. Training and shadowing other field-based engineers. Developing method statements to service and maintain different manufacturers' systems according to the relevant manuals. Be on standby for emergency call outs (approximately 10-12 per year; varies). Travel across the UK 3-5 days a week. Requirements: Current qualification to maintain Crowcon fixed gas detection systems. (Mandatory) At least 2 years of experience working on fixed gas detection systems in a field-based role, including troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning. (Mandatory) Ability to travel across the UK. (Mandatory) Flexibility to respond to customer call outs, including outside standard working hours. (Mandatory) Compex certification for working on ATEX-certified equipment. (Advantageous) BSth Edition certification for installations. (Advantageous) Current or previous qualifications to maintain GDS, MSA, Drager, BW, and/or other manufacturers' fixed gas detection systems.
