You will like QS & cost control work in heritage construction/restoration with niche contractor on bespoke building restoration, renovation and refurbishment projects in the stunning cotswolds. You will like The Quantity Surveyor job role itself which is largely site-based, where you will be responsible to oversee all commercial aspects of high-profile listed and heritage renovations and extensions . More specifically: Produce accurate monthly valuations and financial applications. Manage comprehensive monthly commercial reports. Handle bulk material and sub-contract procurement efficiently. Manage variations to the contract and direct labour payments. You will have To be successful as Quantity Surveyor, we are looking for an experienced, quantity surveyor with a good understanding of traditional building methods and products associated with the refurbishment of listed buildings and up-market period houses. Plus a healthy mix of the following: Proven experience in commercial management of building projects, particularly renovations of listed or heritage buildings and high-end new developments. Relevant Degree or qualification Strong ability to lead as a Quantity Surveyor, ensuring project financials are within targets and maximizing profitability. Working closely with the Contract Manager and able to step in when they are not present Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively at all levels. Adept at working to deadlines, with a keen ability to manage project schedules. Comprehensive understanding of construction drawings and technical building details. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. You will get As a Quantity Surveyor, you will enjoy a competitive salary according to your experience.
