Our client has a successful and well-established clinic near Spalding and due to continued success are looking for a full time experienced Small Animal Vet to join their team. The role is based predominantly at the main hospital however it will also include some branch work. There is a large and varied case load of both medical and surgical cases, and you would have clinical freedom. The practice has a spacious, well equipped hospital and three satellite branches. The current team have vets who have completed or are studying towards further qualifications in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, ECC, and ophthalmology. Cases are discussed daily at clinical rounds and support is always available. The hospital has recently been extended and is well equipped with top class imaging (digital x-ray, CT scanner, ultrasound, video endoscope including laparoscopic kit), a wide range of surgical and orthopaedic equipment including Ex-fix and TTA kits, four sterile theatres, dental x-ray, ECG, tonopen and slit lamp, Class 4 laser, extensive lab, spacious dog and cat kennels and a large isolation area. Each branch has biochem, haematology, UA and microscope, a sterile theatre, with imaging available. The role would be split between consulting, operating, work ups, hospital/inpatient care and out of hours duties. Sole charge will be required during out of hours and occasionally during branch shifts. There is a high orthopaedic caseload through the practice, and there would be room for another surgeon to develop their skills in this area. Equally an interest in imaging would be encouraged. Postgraduate studies in all areas are encouraged and supported. The position is for 42 hours per week, weekends on a 1:6rota and OOH's which normally equates to 7 nights over a 12 week period. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated vet with some experience. You will be skilled at communicating with clients and colleagues and share our passion for excellent client and patient care. You will be able to work within our busy team to provide the top-quality veterinary care that you are proud of. Confidence with sole charge OOH shifts is expected. Our client has a successful and well-established clinic near Spalding and due to continued success are looking for a full time experienced Small Animal Vet to join their team. The role is based predominantly at the main hospital however it will also include some branch work. There is a large and varied case load of both medical and surgical cases, and you would have clinical freedom. The practice has a spacious, well equipped hospital and three satellite branches. The current team have vets who have completed or are studying towards further qualifications in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, ECC, and ophthalmology. Cases are discussed daily at clinical rounds and support is always available. The hospital has recently been extended and is well equipped with top class imaging (digital x-ray, CT scanner, ultrasound, video endoscope including laparoscopic kit), a wide range of surgical and orthopaedic equipment including Ex-fix and TTA kits, four sterile theatres, dental x-ray, ECG, tonopen and slit lamp, Class 4 laser, extensive lab, spacious dog and cat kennels and a large isolation area. Each branch has biochem, haematology, UA and microscope, a sterile theatre, with imaging available. The role would be split between consulting, operating, work ups, hospital/inpatient care and out of hours duties. Sole charge will be required during out of hours and occasionally during branch shifts. There is a high orthopaedic caseload through the practice, and there would be room for another surgeon to develop their skills in this area. Equally an interest in imaging would be encouraged. Postgraduate studies in all areas are encouraged and supported. The position is for 42 hours per week, weekends on a 1:6rota and OOH's which normally equates to 7 nights over a 12 week period. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated vet with some experience. You will be skilled at communicating with clients and colleagues and share our passion for excellent client and patient care. You will be able to work within our busy team to provide the top-quality veterinary care that you are proud of. Confidence with sole charge OOH shifts is expected. An interest in orthopaedics would also be an advantage but is not essential. Salary is up to £80k dependentof experience.
