The Electrical Estimator will be tendering new business across the UK with a key focus on building long-term relationships with new and existing customers whilst overseeing the quotation and tendering process through to design. The Electrical Estimator will be involved in the following: You will be preparing tenders up to 11kV voltage. You will provide quotations and tenders for new connection works and turnkey projects utilising Sinewave's in-house teams and supply chain. You will build and manage key relationships with new and existing customers, including, top-level review with the clients, managing the flow of enquiries. You will work with manufacturers to develop partnerships for a turnkey solutions. You will follow up quotations and share feedback with the tendering and sales team for unsuccessful quotations. You will evaluate supplier and subcontract returns to ensure compliance with the tender specification/documentation. You will draft commentary regarding exclusions and clarifications associated with the return offer. The Electrical Estimator will need a proven track record of: Building strong and collaborative relationships with both internal and external clients and supplier counterparts. Establishing key aspects associated with client requirements, providing quotations, liaising with internal departments and submitting final overview of project ability to the client. Accurately undertake any necessary take-offs of drawings and schedules and perform data entry into the estimating software selected by the business. Working business systems to follow company processes and maintain data integrity. The Electrical Estimator will already have experience & qualifications in: Full UK driving license (Maximum of 3 points). Qualification in engineering or equivalent experience. A level equivalent in literacy, numeracy and technology. Experience in creating technical drawings using AutoCAD or google earth. Strong market knowledge and experience within the electrical distribution sector both HV and LV. Experience of tendering for O&M contracts and private networks. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of the roofing and cladding industry, with a proven track record of surveying and estimating in the refurbishment sector. Further in-depth knowledge of Health and Safety to make sure a job is delivered to the Set Standards. This role will be mainly covering the Midlands, with sites also in Milton Keynes, Northampton and London. Responsibilities will include: Managing the surveying & estimating department Directly supervising Surveyors & Estimators Create and implement process in which Surveyors should follow when collating site information Drive standards of information obtained from surveys Have a clear technical understanding of the products and systems we specify and install Understand, and challenge where required, technical documents relating to design and scope.
