OVERVIEW OF CRE WITHIN CARBON INTELLIGENCE (CI) We are one of the leading ESG and sustainability advisory firms for supporting CRE organisations. CRE represents ~50% of our business and we are members of key real estate forums including AREF, GRESB, and UK-GBC. As part of our strategy: • We work with major blue-chip clients include Aviva Investors, BlackRock, Canary Wharf Group and Federated Hermes. • We provide market-leading strategic services such as Net Zero and Science Based Targets (we have supported nearly 50% of UK organisations who have 'Paris proofed' Science based Targets). THE PERSON This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, bright and driven individual to join our growing team of strategy and engagement consultants. As a senior member of the team, you will be passionate leader and an effective communicator. You will have proven your ability to influence change within a company to deliver our purpose of helping business play its part in building a zero-carbon world. You will have sustainability consulting experience or worked in an in-house role, and you will have been responsible for strategy development, implementation and communication. You will have technical knowledge relating to our services and a strong understanding of how companies can achieve net zero emissions. Each week more and more organisations commit to becoming net zero, driven by both a sense of purpose and ever-increasing pressure from their clients, investors, employees and other key stakeholders. You will be a member of the Commercial real estate consulting team, leading work with our major clients in Commercial real estate and specialising in Net Zero Strategy, Reporting and decarbonisation services. Key responsibilities include the following: • Client relationship management o Relationship building with multiple individuals in large and complex clients. o Programme management of client delivery with a focus on quality and timeliness. o The ability to challenge and shape our client's real estate strategy. • Service delivery and improvement o Leading projects with complex clients to build and implement ambitious sustainability strategies that enable clients to transition to net zero. This includes delivering GHG reporting and scope 3 strategies. o Designing and delivering stakeholder engagement and behaviour change programmes that engage and inspire people to take practical actions that will have a positive environmental impact. This includes tenant or supplier engagement. o Working with clients to meet mandatory and voluntary disclosure requirements. These reporting requirements include NetZero, GRESB, Science Based Target, SECR, UNPRI, EPRA, and TCFD. o Scaling consultancy services through effective resourcing, developing processes and coaching the team o Effective project management to ensure the delivery team meet the requirement of the client. o An understanding of how real estate companies operate and the role of ESG within their strategies. • Communication and people o Empathy, intuition and influencing skills to draw out priorities, consolidate thinking and get buy-in to the proposed route forward. o Excellent presentation skills and ability to lead workshops with business leaders. o Leading teams and supporting colleagues with personal development. o The ability to present and write in French and German is desired.
