JOB TITLE: Stock & Purchasing Assistant
LOCATION: Sherborne, Dorset
SALARY: Circa £22K DOE
HOURS: Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.30pm and Friday 8.30am - 5pm (Part time hours considered)

THE ROLE: You will be required to support another team member with the coordination, dispatch and recording of stock ensuring clear and timely communication between teams. There is a physical element to the role where you will move the stock to relevant storage areas. You will be moving stock between two sites (only 1 mile apart) so will need to have a driver's licence.
KEY DUTIES:
Receiving deliveries, this will involve an element of manual handling.
Checking goods are not damaged and match the order, store safely and securely.
Dispatching stock, this will involve an element of manual handling.
Picking, posting and shipping (including dispatch notes / invoices).
Update the system daily and relevant parties that goods have been received.
Processing small orders on the system for customers.
Purchasing of small orders from suppliers.THE CANDIDATE:
Physically able to handle and lift stock - you will often be on your feet manoeuvring orders and checking goods.
Computer literate - you will use inhouse software to manage deliveries, update order records and purchase items from suppliers.
Great communication skills - working closely with one other person as well as regularly updating between teams.
