HVAC Specialist - Energy Efficiency & Sustainability Contract Length: to 31/3/26 (Ext tbc) Location: Office/Site based 3 days PW Hybrid (Non negotiable) Any of the following locations: Birmingham, Blackpool, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, and Sheffield. HVAC Specialist - Energy Efficiency & Sustainability We are seeking an experienced HVAC Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and management of HVAC systems across a large estate, supporting long-term sustainability and Net Zero Carbon goals. What you'll do: Define and implement HVAC processes, standards, and compliance measures Provide expert technical guidance on HVAC systems, safety, and regulations Maintain asset registers and PPM schedules, auditing projects and performance Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues Drive innovation and best practices aligned with energy efficiency targets Support major projects and contribute to policy development Deputise for senior colleagues when required What we're looking for: Extensive experience with HVAC systems in large estates, including BMS, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and ancillary equipment Strong understanding of HVAC legislation, safety, and compliance standards Proven expertise in asset management, PPM schedules (eg, SFG20), and CAFM systems Experience operating at a senior level, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership Ability to influence stakeholders, collaborate across teams, and resolve complex technical challenges Analytical skills to assess asset performance, identify improvements, and drive cost-effective solutions Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities Commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement in energy efficiency and operational excellence Desirable: HNC/HND or degree in HVAC/Mechanical/Building Services Engineering NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Chartered membership (eg, IMechE, CIBSE) We will also add your details to our mail out lists.
