The Opportunity: We are looking for a Mobile Measurement Technician to be part of our exceptional team. If you are an individual with drive, keenness to learn, who enjoys working in a team to solve problems, whilst operating in a highly demanding environment, then this may be the role for you. Responsibilities: Safe operating of departmental metrology hardware. Operating departmental metrology software. Create and run detailed measurement programs. Produce measurement data in requested format i.e. pdf, excel, stl. Investigation of part measurement issues Adhere to all H&S requirements. Assist in machine verification and preventative maintenance. Following measurement instructions to ensure requests are completed in a timely manner to the expected high standards. Undertake any other work as directed by line manager as requested from time to time. Key Skills: Strong mobile inspection skills essential. Strong understanding of measurement principles. Good understanding of alignments. Ability to provide inspection reports to a professionally high standard. Ability to work with BIW & T&F parts and assemblies. Thorough knowledge of GOM & Polyworks Software or similar. Competent operators in the use of GOM, Articulated arms, Laser Trackers and Creaform system or similar. Knowledge of GD&T Ability to develop new and existing processes to improve departmental performance. Willingness/ability to work/travel across a wide range of sites/locations as required is essential. Excellent communication skills. Perficient IT/computer skills. We are looking for a qualified Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair vehicles to a high quality standard, in a prompt and caring manner ensuring maximum customer satisfaction. This role would suit an experienced Technician with the knowledge and experience to be able to identify problems and solutions promptly for your customers. Duties and Responsibilities: Inspect customers vehicles/goods, prior to and on completion of service, maintenance or repair work. Undertake diagnosis of repair requirements to vehicles. Conduct electronic visual health checks (eVHC) on all vehicles and provide a comprehensive report with expert advice and recommendations for customers. Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair in a safe and efficient manner to MOT and manufacturer standards. Procure parts required to complete the work instructions. Ensure a final inspection of all work is implemented and when requested, fully test if safety related or a customer concern. Record accurate details of work done on Repair Order and other information required by policy and statutory procedure. Skills and Qualifications: You will be a Level 3 qualified vehicle technician with a full UK driving licence. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. What does the role involve? Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard Diagnose and rectify all types of faults Ensure necessary paperwork is completed to the required standard and in a timely manner Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness and ensure all health and safety and environmental processes are adhered to Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend relevant training courses Provide cover on rota system for breakdown cover, and to attend disabled vehicles at the roadside or at customer's premises What skills, qualifications and experience are we looking for? Level 3 City and Guilds, or NVQ qualification in a relevant field, or proven mechanical knowledge and experience in HGV maintenance Excellent customer care skills; able to deliver Scania's premium service standard at all times Strong problem-solving and IT skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and schematics Excellent attention to detail, high accuracy and numeracy skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work A valid driving licence is preferred; HGV licence is an advantage but not mandatory Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks and work within Scania guidelines and to set deadlines Excellent communication and team working skills Own toolbox and tools Experience working with Scania products is desirable but not essential TruckEast is an equal opportunities employer.
