Job Title: CAD Draughtsman / Estimator Location: Haverhill, Suffolk Salary: 40,000- 45,000 (depending on experience) Hours: 08:00-16:30 (40 hours week) We have a new and exciting multi-skilled design role for a small engineering firm in Haverhill, Suffolk. This is a role that will involve you working in multiple areas, from initial drawings to create quotes to liaising with the factory to ensure the completion of the project. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is proficient in 3D CAD design & is looking to take that next step in their career into becoming a production engineer. We are only considering candidates who have previously knowledge of 3D CAD design within a manufacturing environment. If you have any knowledge of fabrication processes, then you will be at a distinct advantage. Duties: - Working on AutoCAD to upload fabrication drawings, coordinate and consult with other team members/disciplines to design, layout, and detail equipment for projects Production of intricate 3D Models and 2D drawings Speaking with suppliers/contractors daily Creating bills of materials from drawings for project costing Actively managing all the quotations & estimates that will range in value from around 5k - 200k Liaising with the manufacturing team to ensure products meet customer expectations Requirements: - Qualification within engineering or similar is needed Detailed working knowledge of CAD software programs including 2D and 3D AutoCAD or Inventor Fully conversant with general arrangement and fabrication drawings Background working within a manufacturing or engineering related field is required Proficient user of all Microsoft programs, specifically Excel Previous experience of estimating turnkey projects would be desirable Exemplary customer service as the direct representative of the company If you think this role may be of interest but would like some more information, please call Carl at Prime Appointments.
