Technical Sales Manager - Wax Emulsions & Paraffin (UK & Ireland) Location: Home-based Ideally near Manchester or Liverpool Industry: Chemicals Wood-Based Panels Industrial Applications Employment Type: Full-time Target Profile: Ambitious sales professional with a strong technical background and a minimum of 1 - 5 years' experience in B2B technical sales or application support. The Role Our client is looking for a dynamic and driven Technical Sales Manager to lead growth in the UK and Irish markets. You'll represent a respected European brand offering high-performance wax emulsions and paraffin-based solutions across a wide range of applications - from wood-based panels and packaging to construction, specialty industries and more. Based from home and ideally located near Manchester or Liverpool, you'll travel across the region to support customers, explore new opportunities, and drive innovation on the ground. Key Responsibilities: Build and expand strong relationships with new and existing clients. Identify and develop new business opportunities in both established and emerging markets. Offer hands-on technical support and product recommendations, both on-site and remotely. Lead product trials and demonstrations with customer production teams. Be the vital link between clients and our client's internal teams (R&D, logistics, and production). Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions. Represent the company at industry events, technical seminars, and trade fairs. Your Profile: Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Wood Technology, or a related technical field. 1 - 5 years' experience in technical sales, technical support, or application engineering - ideally within chemical or B2B manufacturing sectors. A self-starter with strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and a proactive mindset. Able to manage your own schedule and work independently with full ownership of your territory. Willing to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland. Driving licence required (UK or Ireland). What They Offer: A growth-focused role with direct influence on business success and market expansion.
