Gap personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator to produce fine-limit, detailed sheet metal components using both CNC and manual press brakes. This role involves working on small to large batch production within a fast-paced, high-quality engineering environment. Location: Southend on sea Hours: 39 Hours: Mon Thurs: 8 00 (30 mins lunch) Fri: 8 00 Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £16.85 DOE Main duties: - but not limited too Set up and operate CNC press brakes, including Amada HFE, EG4010, and HFB models. Manufacture precision sheet metal parts to fine tolerances. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Use precision measuring tools such as vernier callipers, protractors, and height gauges. Operate and maintain fabrication equipment including fly-presses, guillotines, and drilling machines. Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with company housekeeping standards. Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures. Support colleagues and assist with tasks across Assembly, Machine Shop, and Fabrication departments as required. Skills & Experience: - Proven experience in precision sheet metal work. Skilled in setting and operating CNC and manual press brakes. Ability to read and interpret 3rd angle projection engineering drawings. Competent in the use of engineering measuring equipment. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of quality. Experience in the aerospace industry. Desired, but not essential. Power press setting and operating certificate. Desired, but not essential. Familiarity with aerospace materials, such as L163-T3 aluminium sheet. Desired but not essential. About You: - A true team player with a strong can-do work ethic.
