About the Role We are seeking an experienced and visionary Curator to join our Creative Residency team at Caravane Earth. This role is central to shaping, delivering, and promoting high-quality, culturally relevant programming, exhibitions, and public events. You will work closely with artists, partners, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional residency experiences, support artistic research, and create opportunities for meaningful cultural exchange. Key Responsibilities Program & Curation Develop curatorial themes and shape public program activities in line with the residency's vision. Manage the selection process for the residency program, ensuring targeted reach of open calls and nomination processes. Curate and oversee exhibitions, including collaborations with Qatar Museums. Organize presentations, field trips, studio visits, and workshops for residents. Support the creation of both digital and offline archives of traditional patterns. Residency Management Communicate with selected residents to plan residency goals and activities. Oversee the full residency lifecycle - from onboarding to project delivery and evaluation. Ensure proper handover and closure of all resident projects. Build and maintain relationships with residency partners, keeping them informed of progress. Engagement & Representation Act as the primary contact for residents and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. Represent the residency externally at events, with institutions, and in stakeholder meetings. Support diversity, inclusion, and community engagement initiatives within the residency program. Administration & Compliance Prepare proposals and support funding applications. Maintain accurate records in compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements. Collaborate with the Managing Director and Head of Creative Residency to develop institutional and funding partnerships. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Bachelor's degree in Art, Curatorial Studies, Visual Culture, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in creative residency management, arts curation, or program leadership. Proven ability to produce collaborative program and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong knowledge of the Qatar arts sector and international arts landscape. Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Desirable: International experience in arts and culture projects. Experience in artist professional development. Working knowledge of digital marketing and audience engagement. Competencies Strong leadership and facilitation skills. Creative vision with practical execution ability. High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
