About you: HCPC registered and Specialist portfolio or equivalent in Microbiology. Management qualification to ILM level 3 or relevant experience. MSc / FIBMS (by examination) / IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma and is currently in possession of Fellowship Class of the IBMS or equivalent experience. Able to work across 3 different sites in a 24-7 work environment if required. Able to work with a high degree of accuracy, numeracy, interpretive skills and good problem-solving skills. Able to demonstrate a good knowledge and experience of industry standard laboratory information management systems and computer applications including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Statistical Packages. Working knowledge of Microbiological manual and automated techniques and practices. Working knowledge of Molecular biology techniques and platforms. Ensure medical device combination product design control and risk management activities are compliant with quality and regulatory standards, both internal and external. Support the generation of all regulatory submission data and content for assigned medical device combination product projects. Support internal and external audits of the Biotherapeutics Pharmaceutical Research and Development Quality Management Systems. Education, Skills And Experience BSc in appropriate science & engineering discipline (chemistry, biology, biomedical sciences, mechanical engineering, materials sciences, chemical engineering; or other related discipline) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical combination product and/or device industries OR MSc in appropriate science & engineering discipline (chemistry, biology, biomedical sciences, mechanical engineering, materials sciences, chemical engineering; or other related discipline) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical combination product and/or device industries History of working in accordance with the requirements of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, 21 CFR 820, 21 CFR 4, and the EU Medical Devices Regulation. Experience in design control for medical device combination products and/or medical devices Experience in risk management for medical device combination products and/or medical devices. The incumbent will provide design control and risk management subject matter expertise to medical device combination product development programmes throughout the product lifecycle.
