1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant Are you passionate about working with children and would like to make a difference to a child's school experience? Are you a caring, patient and positive individual? If you answered YES to the above, this may be the role for you. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant seeking a 1:1 role with a child in a school in the Tunbridge Wells/Pembury area. It will be your job to support the student in and out of the classroom. Your main duties will be: Supporting the student with everyday tasks in and out of the classroom i.e. school work and break times. Being a friendly face for the student to trust and feel safe with. Help them to achieve the work set by the Teacher at a pace that works for them. Be a helping hand to the Teacher. Create a secure and trusting relationship with the student to promote their learning. To help and motivate the student and clarify clear instruction within the classroom and set boundaries. This is a great role for someone looking to make a difference and find a rewarding job role. Children need extra support sometimes and it will be your job to do just that, whilst creating a positive environment for them to learn. You will be planning, preparing and delivering assigned work and learning activities to an individual pupil, whilst assessing and recording their development and progress. There are no qualifications needed for this role, however phonics experience is desirable but not essential.
