About the Role
Are you passionate about food and love working in a fast-paced, friendly environment? As an Assistant School Cook, you'll play a vital role in preparing nutritious meals for students, supporting the Catering Manager, and helping to create a positive dining experience that promotes healthy eating.
Key Responsibilities
- ? Assist in preparing and cooking meals to a high standard
- Ensure all food hygiene and health & safety regulations are followed
- Work collaboratively with the catering team to meet daily service needs
- Adapt to changing demands and support the Catering Manager as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
- Promote healthy eating and contribute to a positive food culture in school
What We're Looking For
- ? Strong cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Willingness to follow instructions and support the Catering Manager
