Are you a strategic and empathetic fundraiser ready to lead a high-impact major gifts programme? Do you want to help drive meaningful change on a global scale?

An award-winning international non-profit is seeking a Philanthropy Lead to grow its major donor income and shape the future of its fundraising strategy. This is a senior role within a dynamic development team, focused on tackling one of the most urgent human rights issues of our time.



About the Role

You'll lead a programme focused on securing high five- and six-figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals and philanthropic foundations. Working closely with senior leadership, trustees, and a network of influential ambassadors, you'll build long-term relationships and deliver compelling campaigns that inspire transformational giving.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a bold philanthropy strategy with ambitious growth targets.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors and prospects.
  • Lead donor cultivation events and international engagement trips.
  • Collaborate across teams to craft tailored proposals and impact reports.
  • Represent the organisation at high-level events and donor networks.


About You

You're a confident communicator and strategic thinker with a proven track record in major gifts fundraising. You bring creativity, emotional intelligence, and a deep commitment to social impact. You're ready to lead, willing to learn, and motivated by long-term outcomes.

Essential:

  • Experience securing high five- and six-figure gifts.
  • Strong proposal writing and donor stewardship skills.
  • Line management experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Desirable:

  • Experience in international development, human rights, or social justice sectors.
  • Familiarity with wealth networks and next-gen philanthropists.
